PENGENALAN

Pengajian ini membincangkan tentang tamadun dan ketamadunan, mengenal pasti kriteria dan asas
rujukan sesuatu tamadun. Secara teorinya, pengajian ketamadunan, disamping bersifat saling
berkait antara disiplin, juga merentasi perbincangan tentang masa lampau, masa kini dan masa
depan.

RINGKASAN MODUL

SINOPSIS MODUL 

Kursus ini memfokuskan pembinaan dan perkembangan tamadun Islam dan tamadun-tamadun Asia 

lain iaitu Melayu, India dan Cina. Pengajian tamadun ini diperkenalkan di peringkat universiti atas 

kesedaran bahawa para pelajar mestilah memahami latar belakang pemikiran, pembudayaan dan 

sejarah dalam tamadun-tamadun besar. Pengetahuan ini penting untuk memupuk semangat 

persefahaman yang tulen dan sikap hormat menghormati di kalangan rakyat pelbagai agama, kaum 

dan budaya. Selain itu para siswazah juga diharap mempunyai fikiran yang luas dan berpandangan 

global di samping menghayati nilai-nilai murni sejagat. 

OBJEKTIF MODUL

Objektif mata pelajaran ini ialah untuk memperkenalkan kepada pelajar tentang ilmu ketamadunan 

yang mencakupi pengenalan ilmu ketamadunan, interaksi antara pelbagai tamadun, Isu-isu 

kontemporari dan implikasinya kepada proses pembangunan Negara di samping melahirkan pelajar 

yang mempunyai sikap hormat menghormati, mengamalkan nilai-nilai murni dan mempunyai jati diri 

sebagai warganegara. 

HASIL PEMBELAJARAN 

Di akhir kursus ini, kami akan dapat:

1. Menyenaraikan konsep-konsep utama Tamadun Islam dan Tamadun Asia
2. Menerangkan kepentingan dan peranan agama dan budaya masing-masing dalam 

kehidupan
3. Mengaplikasi kemahiran komunikasi secara berkesan dalam penulisan dan lisan di peringkat 

individu, kumpulan dan masyarakat.

TUGASAN BERKUMPULAN

              Tugasan adalah tempat dimana kami dapat mengaplikasikan apa yang dipelajari ke dalam dunia sebenar. Kami telah membentuk kumpulan yang terdiri 10 orang. Dalam kumpulan yang telah dibentuk, kami dikehendaki untuk menjalankan kajian ilmiah berkaitan tentang isu-isu pandangan semesta cina yang berkait dengan tamadun Islam dan tamadun Asia. Tugasan kami adalah menghasilkan dokumentari / video berkaitan dengan kajian yang telah dijalankan. Measurement 3 (QSB60304) Lecturer-Mr Soon Lam Tatt

Module Synopsis 

The subject will cover the measurement of for doors, windows, roof trusses, roof finishes, roof drainage,
structural steel works and metal works. Introduction on the principle of specification writing, form of specification writing and their uses for the various trades.

The teaching objectives of the module are:

1. Appreciate the significance of Tender Document preparation and the importance of the ability to work
effectively with other within the context of a team.

2. To develop a depth of subject knowledge on the principles of measurement of various elements.

3. To develop decision – making and management skills related to the quantity surveying profession in the
preparation of the Bills of Quantities.

After completing this module , I am able to:

1. Recognize the items measurable for doors, windows, roof structure, roof finishes, rood drainage, structural steel works and metal works

2. Distinguish and illustrate differences in writing up descriptions in accordance to design changes of for doors, windows, roof trusses, roof finishes, roof drainage, structural steel works and metal works.

3. Evaluate the relationship between specifications, drawings and Bill of Quantities in Tender Documents for
doors, windows, roof trusses, roof finishes, roof drainage, structural steel works and metal works.

4. Produce measurement for doors, windows, roof trusses , roof finishes, roof drainage, structural steel works and metal works in accordance to Standard Method of Measurement (SMM2)

5. Generate a conceptual understanding of and the ability to competently carry out the preparation of the Bills of Quantities for doors, windows, roof trusses, roof finishes, roof drainage, structural steel works and metal works

Assignment 

               In this assignment, we are required to prepare measurement and bill of quantities for doors 

and windows for a serviced apartment residential properties.

               By starting this assignment we have visited serviced apartment to collect data and information.We have chosen Mentari Court as our project title. After we have received information we are requested to prepare a report and record the site measurement and dimension. Based on the site measurement and dimension that we have taken, We have prepared taking off and bill of quantities for all doors and windows for this serviced apartment properties. Throughout this assignment , it help  us to understand and practice more on the preparation of measurement and bill of quantities.

              Beside preparing taking off, we also have refer to  ‘Malaysian Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works – Second Edition (SMM2)’ in order to meet the building quantities requirement .

             We are required to submit our assignment with assignment cover sheet , report & floor plan ,taking-off list , dimension sheet or Taking-off sheet and Bill of Quantities 

             My responsible for this assignment is to prepare drawing plan for each unit of mentari court and taking off ,query sheet,bills of quantities and dimension sheet under timber louvers window and aluminium frame window which attached below :
